Druk Ralung Shedrup Choling is a Drukpa Lineage monastery under the central monastic body of Bhutan & administered by the Office of Gyalwa Dokhampa.

Druk Ralung Shedrup Choling Nestled in the valley of Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, where happiness is measured with smiles, is the peaceful village of Kabesa. The heavenly Kabesa is located in the neighbourhood of Dechenphug, home of the protector deity Gye-nyen. The name "Thim-phu" was derived from the occasion when Gye-nyen sunk into the rock at Dechenphug. It is said that Dechenphug's surrounding area is blessed with the protective energy of Gye-nyen to ward off negative influences.Druk Ralung Shedrup Choling,in Kabesa was first established by monks from Druk Ralung of Tibet, who had come to Bhutan in the 20th century. After these monks passed away, the local community of Kabesa was looking after it. However, without any monk in the temple, it was becoming difficult to upkeep the temple and it was going through a deteriorating age for the last 15 years. In recent times, the Druk Ralung Shedrup Choling was offered to Gyalwa Dokhampa by the local community to continue its spiritual legacy and contribute towards peace and tranquility of the Kingdom.Inevitable modernization without the support of spirituality is seen to bring about a number of social issues. Violence, social unrest and depression are becoming common problems with changing times. In this rapidly modernizing society, Druk Ralung, located in the heartland of Bhutan, a country known for its concept of Gross National Happiness, is accessible to everyone who may be in need of spiritual support. Druk Ralung aims to be a place to nurture inner strength and positive growth for all individuals and groups from all walks of life.Druk Ralung Shedrup Choling is a part of the Central Monastic Body, and it has been renovated and is administrated by the office of Gyalwa Dokhampa.
